We are seeking an organized, fast-thinking, and reliable Operations Handler to join our team.

Your primary responsibility will be managing the logistics, scheduling, and deployment of cover cleaners across our client sites mainly covering Fareham, Gosport and Portsmouth . When cleaners call in sick, request annual leave, or emergency cleaning needs arise, you will be the core operator ensuring that no shift goes unfilled and our high standards of service are maintained without disruption.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contact and dispatch cleaners to cover sickness or sudden no-shows under short notice including early mornings, evenings or weekends.

• Effectively manage a team of mobile cleaners ready to take on short-notice shifts

• Organise and maintain cover sheets, ensuring all holiday and arranged leave requests are covered and accurately recorded.

• Proactively inform clients of any changes to their regular cleaning schedule, managing expectations and reassuring them that alternative coverage is in place.

• Ensure cover cleaners have the necessary access codes, key codes, address details, and specific site instructions before they arrive at a client location.

• Liaise effectively and efficiently with Operations supervisor and Office manager ensuring they are aware of any changes and updating them with all covers carried out.

• Looking for a flexible/adaptable team member willing to support others with a proactive mindset to a range of daily tasks

• Support management in screening and interviewing new cleaning staff

Requirements

• Proficiency with staff scheduling and standard office software (Excel/MS Office).

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to remain calm, professional, and clear under high-pressure scenarios.

• Sharp critical thinking skills with the ability to come up with logistical solutions rapidly.

• Willingness to be on-call flexible shift hours, including early mornings or late afternoons and some weekends.

Salary

Hybrid working hours, minimum 5hrs a week in Head office

£20,000 on a Self employed basis, PAYE option available to be discussed
