Senior Business Travel Consultant

At Rockpool, we are delighted to be partnering with a well-established business travel company that is growing its team in West Sussex. This is a new position, joining a small, friendly team of four consultants, and it is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Travel Consultant to be part of a business that is going places.

You will look after a real variety of corporate clients across different sectors, handling everything from domestic trips to international and long-haul travel, including VIP travellers and complex multi-sector itineraries. No two days will be the same.

Senior Business Travel Consultant - What will I be doing?

• Managing corporate travel bookings from start to finish for a varied portfolio of clients
• Handling domestic, international and long-haul air, plus hotels, rail and car hire
• Looking after VIP travellers and complex, multi-sector itineraries
• Making sure every booking is accurate, cost-effective and in line with each client's travel policy
• Handling changes, cancellations, refunds and reissues quickly and calmly
• Building strong relationships with your clients and their travel bookers
• Supporting and sharing your knowledge with colleagues in a growing team

Senior Business Travel Consultant - What experience do I need?

• Solid experience as a Business Travel Consultant is essential
• Strong GDS skills. Amadeus is preferred, but if you are confident on Sabre or Galileo/Travelport, cross-training will be considered
• Confidence handling complex, multi-sector and long-haul itineraries
• Experience looking after VIP or high-profile travellers would be a real plus
• Excellent attention to detail and a calm, organised approach when things get busy
• A warm, professional manner on the phone and by email

What else do I need to know?

Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, with no out-of-hours or weekend rota
Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. There will be an initial training period which will be fully office based
A 4-day week would be considered for the right person (the day off cannot be a Friday)
The company is looking for someone to start as soon as possible
