With around 600 clients and ambitious plans for continued expansion, this is a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who wants more ownership, more influence and a clear route to progression.

The Role

You'll take the lead on reviewing accounts and tax work, supporting the team and keeping clients and deadlines on track. With much of the preparation already handled, you can focus on the technical work, client service and improvements that make a real difference.

You'll be involved in:

• Reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment and VAT returns.

• Building strong client relationships and resolving technical queries.

• Raising quality standards and coaching the preparation team.

• Improving workflows, review processes and deadline management.

• Supporting new client onboarding and future growth.

• Helping embed quarterly MTD for Income Tax processes.

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.

• Experience with sole traders and small limited companies.

• Confidence reviewing other people's work.

• Strong knowledge of corporation tax, self-assessment and VAT.

• Good working knowledge of Xero.

• ACCA, ACA, CTA, AAT or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience.

Experience with Xero Tax, Bright Manager or MTD for Income Tax is a bonus, but not essential.
