The role

Working as part of a collaborative team of Financial Planning Administrators and reporting to a dedicated Team Leader, you will play an important role in delivering an efficient, professional and compliant service to clients and Financial Planners.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing new business across pensions, investments and other financial planning solutions.
  • Managing client onboarding and completing AML and other required verification checks.
  • Preparing and chasing Letters of Authority (LOAs) and Letters of Verification (LOVs).
  • Liaising with clients, product providers and internal teams to resolve queries and obtain outstanding information.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and updating internal databases and systems.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the administration function.
  • Ensuring client instructions and new business applications are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Working closely with Financial Planners, paraplanners and colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service.

About the firm

The business provides comprehensive, whole-of-market financial planning to clients across the UK, with assets ranging from approximately £150,000 to £50 million.

Its services cover:

  • Pension and retirement planning
  • Investments and portfolio management
  • Tax planning and estate planning
  • Cashflow modelling
  • Protection planning
  • Specialist investment arrangements, including VCTs and EISs

The firm offers exposure to a varied client base and a broad range of financial planning requirements, making this an attractive environment for administrators who enjoy developing their technical knowledge.

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of one years’ experience in financial services administration, ideally within an IFA or wealth management business.
  • A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, providers and colleagues.
  • Experience with new business processing, client servicing and compliance procedures.
  • The ability to manage workloads effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career within financial planning administration.

Career administrators who enjoy the operational side of financial planning and want to develop their expertise are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates at different stages of their administration careers will be considered, with salary reflecting experience.
