What You'll Do * Support the development, review and implementation of policy across a range of programmes and strategic priorities. * Conduct research, analysis and evidence gathering to inform policy decisions and recommendations. * Draft high-quality policy papers, briefings, ministerial submissions and stakeholder communications. * Work closely with internal teams, government departments, regulators and external stakeholders to shape and deliver policy outcomes. * Assess the impact of emerging legislation, regulatory changes and policy developments. * Translate complex information into clear and actionable recommendations for senior decision makers. * Contribute to policy consultations, stakeholder engagement activities and wider programme delivery. * Support the development of policy positions that balance operational, regulatory and strategic considerations. What We're Looking For * Strong policy development experience, including research, analysis, drafting and stakeholder engagement. * Ability to analyse complex information, identify key themes and present clear recommendations. * Experience producing high-quality written outputs including policy papers, briefings, submissions or consultation responses. * Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging across multiple organisations and seniority levels. * Knowledge of government policy making processes and the wider public sector landscape. * Experience within environmental, waste, regulatory, enforcement or sustainability policy would be advantageous but is not essential. * Candidates with experience across wider government policy areas are encouraged to apply
