Brazier : earthing Operative / Copper Brazing Technician Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Hartlepool, County Durham Search Consultancy is looking for experienced Earthing Operatives / M&E Technicians proficient in copper earthing and silver/hard brazing for an industrial site in Hartlepool. We are partnering with an established regional M&E sub-contractor requiring skilled operatives for specialist earthing grid installation and busbar work. If you have proven hands-on experience in thermal/silver brazing and copper earthing systems, hold a valid CSCS card, and are looking for immediate work on Teesside, we want to hear from you. The Role Copper Earthing Installation: Installing copper tape, earthing rods, busbars, and subterranean earthing grids across industrial site layouts. Brazing & Jointing: Carrying out high-quality silver brazing, oxy-acetylene torch work, and CADWELD / exothermic welding connections for permanent copper-to-copper and copper-to-steel joints. Testing & Inspection: Assisting with earth resistance testing, continuity checks, and verifying installation integrity against engineering drawings. Site Safety: Adhering strictly to hot works permits, site risk assessments, and health and safety compliance protocols. Requirements CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card (M&E, Electrical, or Skilled Worker preferred). Hot Works / Brazing Certification: Proven track record in copper brazing and earthing (formal brazing/welding ticket or time-served M&E background). Experience: Previous experience on industrial sites, substations, or heavy commercial developments. Tools & Kit: Full personal kit and standard 5-point PPE (including flame-retardant gear/safety glasses where required). Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK. Why Work With Search?
