Kenny Recruit are working with a well-established business to recruit a Contract Accounts Assistant for an initial 6-month period, with the potential to become permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who is looking to join a busy finance team and support the smooth running of day-to-day accounting activities.

Location: Godstone (3 days in the office 2 working remotely)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

Contract: 6 months initially, with the potential to become permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records.
• Managing accounts payable and ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
• Completing regular bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Monitoring supplier accounts and resolving invoice and payment queries.
• Ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded on the accounting system.
• Assisting with month-end processes and general finance administration.
• Providing day-to-day support to the wider finance team as required.

About You:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Practical experience with accounts payable, payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• A reliable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage day-to-day tasks efficiently.
• A team player who is happy to get involved and support the wider finance function.
