Commercial Surveyor Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas Sector: Aluminium & PVC-u Windows, Doors & Building Products The Opportunity We are working with a well-established specialist in the design, surveying, supply, manufacture and installation of high-quality aluminium and PVC-u window and door systems. With an extensive portfolio of projects across multiple sectors, including high-rise developments, they deliver durable, energy-efficient solutions tailored to the needs of their clients. They are now looking to recruit a Commercial Surveyor to support their growing workload across Birmingham and the surrounding areas, with a particular focus on local authority and social housing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual with experience in construction, glazing, fenestration or building products to join a business delivering high-quality solutions across a varied portfolio of projects. The Role * As Commercial Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of projects. * Working closely with internal teams, clients, contractors and other stakeholders, your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out site surveys and assessing project requirements for window and door installations. * Preparing accurate measurements, quotations, costings and commercial documentation. * Monitoring project progress and identifying potential commercial risks. * Liaising with local authorities, housing associations and main contractors * Supporting the commercial management of social housing and refurbishment projects. * Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications, contractual obligations and agreed budgets. * Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal departments. * Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance and project delivery. About You We are looking for a commercially aware and organised individual who understands the importance of accurate surveying, cost control and effective project management. Ideally, you will have: * Previous experience in a Commercial Surveyor, within glazing, fenestration or building products. * Knowledge of aluminium and/or PVC-u window and door systems * Experience working on refurbishment, replacement window and door, social housing or local authority projects. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving and client management. * A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel to projects across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
