Salary: £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established building products supplier in a varied warehouse, delivery and customer service role. You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, preparing and loading orders, delivering goods to customers and assisting customers on the shop floor. This position would suit a reliable, practical individual who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in providing excellent customer service and utilising systems in a hands-on environment.

Duties will include:

• Driving a company van to deliver orders to customers safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading goods, ensuring orders are accurate and secure.
• Picking, packing and preparing orders for collection and delivery.
• Assisting customers on the shop floor with orders, collections and general product enquiries.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse and maintaining organised stock areas.
• Receiving deliveries, checking incoming goods and assisting with stock control.
• Handling systems such as a CRM and Excel.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety and general housekeeping.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the warehouse and trade counter operate efficiently.

Skillset required:

• A full UK driving licence and previous experience driving a van for deliveries.
• Previous hands-on warehouse experience, including loading and unloading goods.
• Experience dealing with customers face-to-face in a shop, trade counter or similar customer-facing environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable, practical and proactive approach to work.
• The ability to work effectively in a busy environment and support colleagues where needed.

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 7:45am–5:00pm.
