Trainee Production Supervisor

£12.71 Per Hour, Increasing With Training To £14 Per Hour

6am – 3pm, Sunday-Friday + Additional Day Off Midweek

Are you an experienced Production Operator that’s looking to progress into a supervisory role at a tight-knit and friendly family-owned business?

This Food Manufacturing company supplies Fresh Produce to both small & large supermarkets as well as restaurant groups across the UK, operating a modern hydroponic farming environment to produce several thousand tonnes of goods annually.

In this role you will start off in the picking & packing department while undertaking training in various machinery and FLT operations before progressing into production line leadership. You’ll then take responsibility for several Operators across one line before receiving the opportunity to take on additional direct reports.

The idea candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in production operations – ideally in a FMCG environment such as Food Manufacturing – and will have a good work ethic along with flexibility to work additional hours when required.

What you’ll be doing:

• Initially focusing on product packaging while undertaking training in more complex production machinery operation and team leadership
• Carrying out basic checks - metal detection, temperatures, hygiene etc
• Undertaking training in FLT operation
• Ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner & supporting with site compliance

Requirements

• Eager to learn and comfortable with hands-on work
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing operations
• Positive and friendly attitude, capable of working well with others
• Full UK driving license
