HR Advisor. Part-time, Remote (1 day per month in office). A highly successful technology company employing around 100 people in the UK, and part of a global operation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support its UK workforce. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this is a varied, hands-on role.

HR Advisor – the role:

  • Provide practical HR advice to managers and employees.
  • Coordinate recruitment, offers, pre-employment checks and onboarding.
  • Support employee relations, performance management and (once settled into the role) disciplinary processes.
  • Prepare contracts and manage contractual changes, leave and leaver documentation.
  • Maintain HR records, systems, policies, compliance and reporting.
  • Support employee engagement, training and wider HR projects.

HR Advisor – the person:

  • CIPD qualified, ideally Level 5, or working towards it; alternatively, at least five years’ HR experience.
  • At least two to three years’ experience in a broad-based ‘generalist’ HR capacity (rather than a specialist position) ideally covering: recruitment, employee relations, contracts and policy management.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Organised, approachable and confident handling confidential matters.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-changing environment.

HR Advisor – the hours and location:

The role can be worked as either three full days per week, 9.00am–5.30pm, or five half-days of 4.5 hours. Monday working is necessary please, with flexibility over the remaining days.

You must be able to commute to Stevenage, Hertfordshire, during the initial one-to-two-week training period and attend the office when required for special or management meetings.

Thereafter, office attendance is expected to average around once per month.

This is initially a six-month temporary contract, starting as soon as possible. The intention is for the role to become permanent if the successful person performs well and approval is granted at the time; a permanent appointment cannot be guaranteed.

To £40,000 basic ‘pro-rata’. Services advertised by Dupen are those of an Agency.
