Interim Management Accountant
Location: Plymouth (5 days per week on-site)
Duration: Up to 9 months
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Up to £35 per hour (37.5 hours per week)

An established manufacturing business in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support the finance team during a key period of change and growth.This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work closely with both finance and operational teams, providing accurate financial reporting and commercial insight to support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Supporting month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
• Producing detailed P&L analysis and financial commentary
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Business partnering with operational and production teams to support performance and cost control
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Delivering insightful reporting and analysis to support business objectives

About You

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
• Previous management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong financial reporting and month-end accounting skills
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical ability
• Confident communicator who can build effective relationships across the business
• Available at short notice or immediately available
