Management Accountant / Finance Analyst City of London | Hybrid - 3 days in the office | Part-Qualified

You will be joining an established insurance firm based in the City of London, close to Fenchurch Street. The business offers a professional and collaborative working environment with excellent exposure across finance and the wider organisation. They operate a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.

Your new role
As a Management Accountant / Finance Analyst, you will join a supportive finance team and take responsibility for a combination of management accounting, reporting and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the month-end close.
• Preparing financial analysis and commentary on performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
• Producing management information and reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
• Supporting ad hoc projects and improvements across the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified and actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Previous experience within insurance or financial services is essential
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Good understanding of month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience producing variance analysis, budgets and forecasts.
• Confident Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the wider business.
