Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Farringdon, London Salary: £45,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Call-Out: None The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading international Facilities Management provider, working on a prestigious corporate office contract based in Farringdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of a high-end corporate office environment. The role will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) alongside general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, painting and basic carpentry duties. For the majority of the week, you will be the sole engineer on site, with additional engineering support available for four hours on Mondays and Fridays. As a result, we are looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes initiative and has excellent communication and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the building. * Undertaking electrical maintenance, fault-finding and minor repairs. * Completing general plumbing maintenance and repairs. * Carrying out basic painting and decorating. * Undertaking general carpentry and building fabric maintenance. * Assisting with furniture moves and general office maintenance requirements. * Responding to reactive maintenance requests and ensuring issues are resolved promptly. * Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing relevant documentation. * Ensuring the building is maintained to a high standard at all times. Essential Requirements * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. * Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Maintenance Engineer role within Facilities Management. * Strong electrical maintenance background. * Good all-round building maintenance experience, including basic plumbing, carpentry and general fabric maintenance. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and use initiative. * Professional and presentable, with the ability to work in a high-end corporate environment. Working Hours & Location * Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. * Based at a prestigious corporate office in Farringdon. * No call-out rota. * Predominantly sole engineer on site, with additional support on Mondays and Fridays
