Pay: £16.14 per hour Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent Hours: Approximately 60 hours per week Location: Scunthorpe Job Description We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client's busy transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced drivers and newly qualified Class 1 drivers, with full training provided. The position offers consistent, long-term work, continuing beyond Christmas, with the potential to secure a permanent role. Duties & Responsibilities * Driving Class 1 vehicles, transporting steel and tipper loads. * Securing loads using chains and straps (full training provided). * Working as a spare driver, operating different vehicles as required (cab hopping). * Adapting to varying start and finish times. * Completing daily vehicle checks and following transport safety procedures. What We Offer * £16.14 per hour * Approximately 60 hours per week, subject to operational requirements and drivers' hours regulations. * No nights out expected. * Subsistence allowance. * Accrued holiday entitlement, allowing paid time off over Christmas. * Full training on load securing and operational procedures. * Long-term, ongoing work beyond Christmas. * Potential opportunity for a permanent position when available. * Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) entitlements after 12 qualifying weeks, where applicable.
