FP&A Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: up to £85,000

I'm currently working on an exciting opportunity for a FP&A Manager to join a well-established organisation in a senior finance leadership role.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll be a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, leading the financial planning and business partnering functions. You'll manage a team of three and work closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, support strategic decision-making and help shape the organisation's long-term financial direction.

The FP&A Manager role will involve:
  • Leading the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, medium-term plans and longer-term financial projections.
  • Overseeing management reporting, financial modelling and financial performance analysis.
  • Providing financial insight, challenge and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support key business decisions.
  • Evaluating major investments, business cases, commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and improving financial planning processes, reporting tools and forecasting capabilities.
  • Leading, developing and strengthening the Finance Business Partnering team, with a focus on building capability, improving knowledge sharing and supporting professional development.
  • Working closely with senior leaders to ensure budgets and resources are aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Presenting financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership teams and governance committees.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency and the quality of financial information across the organisation.
What are we looking for?
  • You'll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant experience across financial planning, FP&A, management reporting or business partnering within a complex organisation.
  • You'll have a strong track record of leading and developing finance teams, improving financial processes and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong analytical skills are essential, alongside experience of financial modelling, forecasting and presenting complex financial information in a clear, commercially focused way.
  • You'll also be comfortable challenging assumptions, providing strategic financial advice and working with stakeholders across different areas of the organisation to support effective decision-making.
Working arrangements

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with core office hours of 9am–5pm. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you'll typically be expected to spend three days per week onsite to support stakeholder engagement and institutional decision-making.

What's on offer?
  • 30 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Discretionary Christmas closure.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Opportunities for professional development and networking.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance leader to step into a senior position, lead an established business partnering function and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and long-term organisational performance.
