Are you an experienced Medical Secretary with previous experience working within a GP Surgery or Doctors' Practice?

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and welcoming medical practice in Cobham seeking a highly organised and professional Medical Secretary to provide support for a 1-month temporary assignment. This role requires someone who can quickly integrate into the team and confidently manage a varied workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Audio and copy typing of clinical letters and medical reports
• Managing referrals and liaising with hospitals and external healthcare providers
• Updating and maintaining patient records accurately
• Managing incoming calls and responding to patient and clinician enquiries
• Monitoring practice inboxes and correspondence
• Supporting GPs and clinical staff with administrative tasks
• Booking appointments and managing clinic schedules where required

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Medical Secretary within a GP Practice or Doctors' Surgery
• Excellent typing and administrative skills
• Experience using medical systems such as EMIS and Dictate IT
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Available to start immediately
