The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading contractor delivering façade remediation and refurbishment works across occupied residential properties in Mitcham, South London. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of a residential façade remediation project, overseeing the removal and replacement of existing cladding and insulation systems, site operations, subcontractors, health and safety and programme delivery. The project involves working within an occupied residential environment with restricted access, requiring careful logistical planning, coordination of deliveries and effective management of works around residents and public areas. This role would suit a highly organised, proactive and experienced Senior Site Manager with a strong background in residential refurbishment, façade remediation, external envelope works or complex construction projects. Key Responsibilities Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of façade remediation and residential refurbishment works Managing site logistics, restricted access, deliveries and material movements Overseeing the removal and replacement of cladding, insulation and external façade systems Coordinating and managing subcontractors, operatives and specialist trades Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards Managing construction programmes, progress reporting and daily site operations Conducting site inspections, quality checks and health and safety monitoring Liaising with residents, client representatives, project managers and key stakeholders Maintaining accurate site documentation, compliance records and quality assurance processes Identifying and resolving operational challenges to maintain project progress Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation and project specifications Supporting the successful handover and completion of the project Requirements Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager within construction, residential refurbishment or remediation Strong background in managing complex construction projects and multiple subcontractors Experience delivering façade remediation, recladding, external envelope or residential refurbishment projects highly desirable Excellent understanding of site logistics, construction sequencing and health and safety management Experience working on restricted-access sites and within occupied residential environments Ability to manage site programmes, coordinate specialist trades and maintain high-quality standards Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications Temporary Works qualifications advantageous Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check Package & Benefits £55,000 – £70,000 depending on experience Company car or car allowance Up to 5% annual bonus 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Long-term project pipeline across London and the South East Excellent career progression opportunities Permanent position with an established contractor This Senior Site Manager role in Mitcham offers an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for a challenging residential façade remediation project, overseeing site operations, logistics, safety and successful project delivery.
