Responsibilities:

* Produce and deliver quarterly management accounts for smaller entities and third-party accounts efficiently, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

* Support the Finance Manager in the quarterly consolidation process by preparing detailed schedules for prompt reporting to head office.

* Assist in drafting statutory accounts for all applicable entities, collaborating closely with external auditors to ensure timely finalisation for reporting deadlines.

* Review draft financial statements of third-party entities to confirm consistency with previous year-end reports and identify any significant changes.

* Oversee VAT and CIS reporting and reconciliation processes, guaranteeing accurate submissions within required timeframes.

* Prepare ONS survey forms and schedules for review by the Finance Controller, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Proactively train younger team members by sharing your knowledge to enhance overall capability and productivity within the finance department.

* Support the implementation and development of new systems as needed, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

* Assist with daily accounting operations including payment runs, reviewing journal entries, and entering bank payment details during staff absences.

* Work closely with other finance team members to support their development, fostering a collaborative atmosphere focused on shared success.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Demonstrated experience in producing management accounts for multiple entities within tight deadlines, showcasing your dependability and attention to detail.

* Proven ability to assist with complex consolidation processes under IFRS or US GAAP standards, highlighting your technical proficiency in financial reporting.

* Experience drafting statutory accounts for review by senior finance professionals and collaborating effectively with external auditors during finalisation stages.

* Strong understanding of VAT and CIS reporting requirements coupled with practical experience in reconciliation processes for timely submission.
