Facilities Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Assistant to join our client’s Facilities Team initially on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic, rapidly expanding organisation where you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

As a vital member of the Facilities team, you will support daily operations across their sites, ensuring meeting rooms, canteen facilities, office areas, and wider site services are maintained to a high standard.

The Facilities Assistant will:

• Assist with office relocations, workspace moves, maintenance requests, and larger facilities projects under the guidance of the FM.
• Maintain and replenish coffee machines and canteen supplies, set up meeting rooms and event spaces.
• Support waste management, including controlled and hazardous waste processes.
• Conduct contractor inductions and supervision, and assist with weekly fire alarm, and emergency lighting tests.
• Arrange servicing and repairs for company pool vehicles and occasionally travel to satellite sites to support facilities activities.

You will be:

• A collaborative team player committed to high standards of safety and service delivery.

Essential for this role:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with good IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively, with an understanding of maintenance and contractor control requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to undertake manual handling activities in line with safety guidelines.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.45pm and 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Friday. 1 hour lunch break 12pm
