Assistant Accountant

Working closely with the finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the transactional finance function while supporting wider accounting responsibilities.

This varied role will involve:

• Managing Accounts Payable and Purchase Ledger activities
• Supporting Credit Control and cash flow management
• Assisting with month-end and management accounting tasks
• Maintaining financial controls and process accuracy
• Supporting ongoing finance transformation projects
• Navigating change as the business transitions from Xero and NetSuite to new systems
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies

This position has evolved significantly from its original brief and now offers a much broader scope, making it ideal for someone with a well-rounded finance background.

I’m looking for an experienced finance professional who:

• Has a strong background across transactional finance functions
• Understands Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control inside out
• Can comfortably support management accounting activities when required
• Thrives in changing and fast-paced environments
• Has experience with ERP or finance systems such as Xero, NetSuite or similar
• Is proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused
• Can start quickly, with candidates on shorter notice periods particularly welcomed
