We’re looking for a practical, organised Contracts Supervisor to help manage the delivery of our heritage and architectural metalwork projects.
Working closely with our management, workshop and site teams, you’ll help keep projects running safely, on programme and to a high standard. You’ll be a key link between the workshop, installation teams and clients, making sure everyone has the information and resources they need to get the job done properly.
This role would suit someone with experience supervising metalwork or construction projects who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly and enjoys solving problems.
Your responsibilities will include:
*
Supervising the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects.
*
Planning site activities and coordinating labour, materials, equipment and deliveries.
*
Liaising with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
*
Carrying out site visits, checking progress and attending project meetings.
*
Working with the workshop team to coordinate fabrication, restoration and installation.
*
Reading drawings and specifications, and checking work meets project requirements.
*
Ensuring site activities follow agreed risk assessments, method statements and health and safety procedures.
*
Identifying delays, access issues or changes to the work and raising them promptly.
*
Keeping clear records of progress, site instructions and outstanding actions.
*
Coordinating snagging and helping achieve a smooth project handover.
What we’re looking for:
*
Experience in a supervisory role within metalwork, fabrication, installation or construction.
*
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
*
Confidence communicating with clients, tradespeople and colleagues.
*
The ability to read technical drawings and understand site requirements.
*
A practical approach to problem-solving and a strong eye for detail.
*
A clear commitment to safe working and quality workmanship.
*
A full UK driving licence for travel between sites.
Experience with heritage metalwork, restoration or conservation projects would be an advantage, as would relevant qualifications such as CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS.
What we offer
*
Salary of £35,000 - £40,000, depending on experience.
*
Varied work across heritage and architectural metalwork projects.
*
The opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day project coordination and see work through to completion.
