Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technician to join one of the UK's leading architectural practices, renowned for delivering high-quality work across urban design, interiors, and masterplanning. With a strong and diverse portfolio spanning the residential, healthcare, and education sectors, the Birmingham studio is now looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Senior Architectural Technician to take a lead role on a series of healthcare projects from inception through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of healthcare projects across all RIBA stages
• Take responsibility for detailed design, coordination, and project documentation
• Prepare, submit, and manage planning and building regulation applications
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure technical quality and compliance
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members where required

Skills and Experience

• CIAT-accredited or working towards accreditation
• Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
• Significant post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice
• Strong experience running projects independently across all RIBA stages
• Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential
• Previous healthcare sector experience is highly desirable
• Excellent technical knowledge, coordination skills, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Based within a commutable distance of the Birmingham studio
