REED Practice are working in partnership with a leading Chartered certified accountancy and tax advisory practice based in Dorchester (+ parking) recruiting an Accounts Senior. The firm provides accountancy, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, and business advisory services to a range of clients including small businesses, property owners, medical professionals, and private individuals. As a part of the growth plans of the practice this is a newly created role.

Accounts Senior

Full Time - 37 hours (Office Days are Monday and Fridays, with one wed a month invited to attend a Team meeting day)

Salary - Depending on Experience (up to £40k)

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of accounts for Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships, including tax returns and calculations.
• Manage your own workflow to meet company year-end and other client deadlines.
• Conduct thorough examination and analysis of client books and records, resolving any queries in collaboration with clients.
• Processing and posting figures using VT Final Accounts software
• Prepare all underlying schedules (accounts working papers).
• Prepare accounts for review by senior staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts preparation is essential.
• Core hours: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
