We are working with a highly successful, ambitious and rapidly expanding Financial Planning and Wealth Management business that is looking to recruit two experienced Financial Planners to support its continued growth.

The business has been expanding significantly through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, creating an excellent opportunity for established Financial Planners to develop substantial client portfolios within a well-resourced and supportive environment.

The successful candidates will ideally be based in Essex, North London or the surrounding areas, with the flexibility to travel for client meetings and occasional office visits.

The Opportunity

This is a traditional, relationship-focused Financial Planning position, providing holistic advice to private clients across investments, pensions, retirement planning, estate planning and tax-efficient strategies.

The business is particularly interested in speaking with Financial Planners who have an existing client bank or established professional network, with the potential to transfer client relationships over a 6–12 month period.

For candidates introducing an existing client portfolio, an attractive financial arrangement can be negotiated, potentially involving a combination of cash payments and shares in the business.

Importantly, the company is also actively acquiring established IFA businesses and client banks, including those of retiring Financial Advisers. This provides an ongoing source of additional clients for Financial Planners to advise and develop.

The longer-term objective is to build each Financial Planner's portfolio to approximately £75m of assets under advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, holistic Financial Planning advice to private clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Manage and develop an existing portfolio of clients.
  • Introduce new clients through personal networks, professional connections and referrals.
  • Take responsibility for clients introduced through business acquisitions.
  • Identify opportunities to grow assets under advice and recurring revenue.
  • Work closely with experienced Paraplanning and Client Services teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
  • At least three years' experience providing regulated financial advice.
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and retirement planning.
  • An existing client bank or established professional network would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and generate new business.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Chartered status would be advantageous but is not essential.

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic salary of £60,000–£100,000, depending on experience and existing client relationships.
  • Performance-related bonus.
  • Potential cash and share consideration for transferring an existing client bank.
  • Hybrid/home-based working.
  • 6% employer pension contribution.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and additional Christmas closure days.
  • Private group income protection and life assurance.
  • Employee Benefit Trust providing the opportunity for share ownership.
  • Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Financial Planner who wants to develop a substantial client portfolio within a growing Wealth Management business, benefiting from both personal business development opportunities and a strong pipeline of clients generated through ongoing acquisitions.
