London | Assistant Manager / Manager | Alternative Funds Tax
I'm currently working with a high-growth Alternative Funds Tax team in London that is looking to hire at both Assistant Manager and Manager level.
The team advises across the Alternative Investment Funds market, including private equity, hedge funds, credit funds and real estate funds, covering a mixture of UK and international tax advisory and compliance work.
What really stands out about this opportunity is the growth trajectory and progression available within the team.
It's a relatively young team with young, ambitious leadership and has achieved double-digit growth over the past seven years. That growth is translating directly into progression opportunities, with around 15% of the team promoted last year across all levels.
For someone ambitious, this is an opportunity to join a team where you can build your profile quickly. You'll have direct client exposure and the opportunity to build your own client relationships, rather than being purely delivery-focused. The role also provides exposure to business development alongside the technical work.
The workYou'll work across a broad range of Alternative Funds tax matters, including:
The team works collaboratively across the UK and internationally, giving you exposure beyond purely domestic tax matters.
Who could be a good fit? We're particularly interested in speaking with people coming from:
You don't necessarily need to have spent your entire career in Alternative Funds. The team is open to people with strong relevant corporate tax experience who want to develop further within the sector.
Why consider it?Genuine progression: A growing team creating opportunities to move upwards, rather than waiting for someone above you to leave.
Client relationships from early on: Build relationships directly with clients and become commercially involved, rather than sitting behind more senior team members.
High-growth environment: An ambitious team that is continuing to invest and hire.
Broad exposure: Work spanning Alternative Funds, private equity, credit, hedge funds and real estate funds, with UK and international tax exposure.
Multiple entry points: Opportunities at both Assistant Manager and Manager level, depending on experience.
The firm also offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements alongside structured coaching and development.
If you're currently working in Funds, Financial Services or Real Estate Tax and want a role offering stronger progression, earlier client ownership and exposure to a rapidly growing part of the tax market, I'd be keen to speak.
