Mechanical Maintenance Fitter – Night Shift Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 per annum + £58 weekly shift allowance
Overtime: £20.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Thursday (Night Shift)

Job Description Real Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Stourbridge.
This is a hands-on maintenance role working within a busy, heavy engineering environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving production machinery to minimise downtime and keep operations running efficiently.
We're looking for someone with strong mechanical fault-finding skills who is confident working independently and enjoys getting stuck into a variety of maintenance tasks.
Duties Include: - Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical breakdowns on production machinery.
- Maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Repairing and replacing worn or faulty machine components.
- Carrying out welding, fabrication and general mechanical fitting duties.
- Inspecting machinery and identifying potential faults before breakdowns occur.
- Working alongside the engineering team to improve machinery reliability.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and following health and safety procedures.
Requirements: - Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial machinery.
- Welding, fabrication or machining experience would be advantageous.
- Background in heavy engineering, foundry, steel or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns.
- Reliable, flexible and comfortable working night shifts.
