We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Burnley for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 team from December 2026.

Position Details

• Role: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
• Location: Burnley
• Start Date: December 2026
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Year Group: Year 2
• Pay Rate: £15.11 per hour

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher within a Year 2 classroom, supporting pupils with their learning and development. You will help deliver engaging activities, provide targeted support where needed, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Have experience working within a primary school setting.
• Be enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children's learning.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (preferred but not essential).
