NXTGEN is pleased to be working with a leading accountancy practice that is continuing to grow and is looking to bring an experienced Accounts Manager into the team. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio, building strong client relationships and supporting the development of those around them.

The firm offers a friendly and supportive working environment, with the opportunity to take ownership of your own portfolio whilst working closely with experienced Directors and Partners. You will also play an important role in supporting the wider team and helping to develop more junior members of staff.

Responsibilities will include :

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and taking ownership of client relationships
• Overseeing your team’s portfolios and supporting with workflow planning
• Managing all aspects of client service, with support from Directors and Partners on more technical areas
• Take responsibility for the delivery of high quality accounts and advice
• Building and maintaining strong, long term client relationships
• Working closely with Directors and Partners to identify opportunities within existing client relationships
• Taking a proactive approach to client management and reducing the need for Partner involvement where appropriate
• Working both autonomously and as part of a wider team
• Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
• Ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard

The ideal Accounts Manager will have :

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience managing a varied client portfolio within an accountancy practice
• Strong accounts experience and a good understanding of client service
• Experience working with clients across a variety of industries
• Previous experience coaching, mentoring or supervising junior members of a team
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• The confidence to take ownership of your own portfolio and manage client relationships independently
• A proactive and personable approach to both clients and colleagues
