Accounts Assistant

Salary: £29,000k
Location: Leicester - free parking
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join an established business based in Leicester. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of accounting and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

This role would suit an organised individual with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and previous experience within a finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling financial transactions.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assisting with payment processing and account administration.
• Preparing journals and supporting finance reports.
• Completing regular account reconciliations.
• Responding to internal and external finance queries.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes.
• Providing assistance across the wider finance team as required.
• Undertaking general administrative duties associated with the role.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive and proactive attitude with a team-focused approach.
