Academics is seeking a caring, patient and committed Individual Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Gloucester, supporting a pupil with additional needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored one-to-one support based on the pupil's individual needs.
• Support learning and communication, with knowledge of BSL, Makaton or AAC beneficial but not essential.
• Follow personalised strategies outlined in the pupil's EHCP.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to support progress.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interactions.
• Monitor progress and share observations with the school team.
• Help maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay: £90-£105 per day, depending on experience
• Hours: Full-time, 8:30am-3:30pm
• DBS: Enhanced DBS required, or willingness to apply

We're looking for someone who is empathetic, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience in SEN, education or one-to-one support is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
