If you understand commercial fleets and how technology can improve their safety, efficiency and compliance, this is an opportunity to shape products around those challenges. At Microlise, we’re looking for a Product Manager – Fleet Telematics to lead the vision, roadmap and commercial success of our vehicle and trailer telematics portfolio. Working closely with fleet operators, industry experts, Engineering, Delivery and commercial teams, you’ll develop products spanning tracking, fuel reporting, trailer braking and driver performance. You’ll use your knowledge of day-to-day fleet operations to connect capabilities across TMC and TruControl, turning complex vehicle data into intuitive products that deliver measurable customer value. You’ll lead the evolution of our driver-performance proposition and explore how AI and other tools could improve product discovery and customer outcomes. This role could suit an established Product Manager or an experienced Product Owner with strong fleet telematics, connected vehicle or commercial fleet experience who is ready to step up and influence products used by thousands of fleet operators. What You'll Be Doing Own and evolve our vehicle and trailer telematics portfolio, shaping its roadmap and future direction. Work with customers and industry experts to identify challenges and turn the strongest insights into product enhancements. Lead discovery and design with Engineering, UX and Delivery, creating intuitive solutions that fit the wider Microlise portfolio. Partner with Sales, Marketing and Pre-Sales on positioning, launches, early-adopter engagement and customer communications. Use product performance, customer feedback, competitor activity and market trends to prioritise investment and drive commercial success. Explore how AI and other tools can strengthen discovery, analysis, knowledge-sharing and stakeholder communication. Why this role stands out: You’ll inherit proven products and strong engineering capability, with the autonomy to rethink how our telematics portfolio fits together, lead a high-profile driver-performance proposition and influence product practice across the wider team. You’ll have scope to investigate the competitor landscape, test ideas with customers and early adopters, and make evidence-led recommendations about where we focus. It’s a visible role for someone comfortable presenting roadmaps, handling competing demands and bringing a fresh perspective to an experienced team. The role combines hands-on product discovery with strategic and commercial ownership. You’ll work on established products with a strong customer base while helping define their next phase, from improving individual capabilities to creating a more joined-up experience across the portfolio. What We're Looking For Product management or substantial product ownership experience across discovery, delivery, launch, adoption and continuous improvement, ideally within fleet technology or another operationally complex B2B environment. Strong experience of commercial vehicle fleets and the operational challenges fleet managers face, supported by knowledge of fleet telematics, connected vehicle technology or fleet hardware. Practical understanding of telematics capabilities such as vehicle tracking, vehicle and trailer data, fuel monitoring, driver behaviour, cameras or connected safety systems. Ability to engage credibly with fleet operators and users, understand day-to-day workflows and compliance pressures, and turn operational requirements into clear product priorities. Product lifecycle experience covering fleet and customer discovery, market and competitor analysis, roadmaps, Agile delivery, go-to-market activity and post-launch improvement. Confidence presenting roadmaps, managing customer pressure, challenging requests and influencing senior stakeholders across technical, operational and commercial teams. Commercial judgement and analytical ability to combine customer feedback, fleet usage, market and commercial data, balance competing priorities and direct investment towards the greatest value. Desirable Experience developing products for commercial vehicle fleets and understanding how operators use technology day to day. Knowledge of GPS tracking, vehicle data, driver behaviour or camera solutions. Understanding of fleet operations and compliance requirements.
