Customer Analyst
£35,000-£40,000
London (Hybrid - 3x Days a Week in Office)
The Company
A globally recognised premium lifestyle brand with an established international presence is looking for a Customer Analyst to join its Digital Commerce team! Operating across EMEA and LATAM, covering 74 markets, the team uses data and analytics to understand customer behaviour, optimise the digital customer journey and improve commercial performance. This is an opportunity to join a small, collaborative analytics team where SQL-led analysis, customer insight and data storytelling are central to the role. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Digital Commerce, Customer Journey and Performance Marketing, turning complex data into actionable recommendations that influence business decisions.
The Role
As the Customer Analyst, you'll use SQL to analyse customer and digital commerce data, uncover behavioural trends and identify opportunities to improve customer experience and commercial performance. You'll combine strong technical analysis with an understanding of digital customer journeys, helping stakeholders understand not just what is happening, but why, and what the business can do about it.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Using SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse customer, e-commerce and digital performance data across multiple international markets.
- Analysing customer behaviour, journeys and on-site activity to identify trends, friction points and opportunities for improvement.
- Using Adobe Analytics to understand digital customer interactions and conversion performance.
- Bringing together data from customer, marketing, inventory and web analytics sources to develop a more comprehensive understanding of customer behaviour.
- Supporting performance marketing and attribution analysis to understand campaign effectiveness and commercial impact.
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reporting, with a focus on developing scalable, automated and self-service analytics.
- Translating complex analysis into clear, commercially focused insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Partnering with the Customer Journey team to support A/B testing, experimentation and digital experience optimisation.
- Supporting web analytics QA, including tagging, data-layer and tracking validation, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer data.
- Contributing to the team's reporting development as it transitions from Tableau towards Power BI, with further development of its data environment using Databricks.
Your Skills & Experience
I'm looking for a commercially minded analyst with strong SQL skills and experience working with customer or digital analytics data. You'll be comfortable working with stakeholders, investigating business questions and communicating insights that support decision-making.
You'll have:
- SQL skills, with experience querying and analysing data from relational databases.
- Experience using Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, with Adobe preferred but not essential.
- Experience in customer analytics, digital analytics, e-commerce or another customer-focused environment.
- An understanding of customer behaviour, digital journeys and the factors that influence conversion and engagement.
- Experience with dashboards and data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn analysis into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
- A proactive, curious approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work through ambiguous business questions rather than simply produce reports.
Retail or e-commerce experience would be advantageous, but the priority is finding someone who combines strong SQL capability with an understanding of customers and digital behaviour.
The Benefits
- Salary of £35,000-£40,000.
