Internal Sales Executive (HVAC)

Location: Leatherhead
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our growing HVAC business in Leatherhead. This office-based role will be responsible for managing inbound enquiries, providing technical product guidance, preparing quotations, and developing commercial opportunities. The successful candidate will gain an in-depth understanding of humidification products, HVAC systems, and customer applications whilst supporting the wider sales, service, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide professional product advice.
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations using HubSpot CRM.
• Proactively follow up quotations to maximise sales opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities for equipment sales, service contracts, maintenance plans, and upgrades.
• Work towards agreed sales targets and KPIs.

Technical Support

• Assist customers and specifiers with product selection and application queries.
• Liaise closely with the Technical Department to ensure suitable solutions are provided.
• Develop a strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and humidification products.
• Support installation and service teams with technical and commercial information.
• Ensure all advice and recommendations are accurately documented.

CRM & Administration

• Create and manage customer leads within HubSpot.
• Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records, quotations, and sales documentation.
• Track opportunities through the sales pipeline and provide regular updates.
• Attend sales meetings and pipeline reviews with the Internal Sales Manager.

Marketing & Business Development

• Support company marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Represent the business at industry exhibitions and trade shows.
• Promote company products and services through professional LinkedIn engagement.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' sales experience.
• Experience working within an engineering, technical, or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities effectively.
• Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to sales.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous HVAC industry experience.
• Experience using HubSpot CRM.
• Knowledge of humidification products and HVAC controls.
• Experience attending trade shows or industry events.
