We are currently working with a well-established accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire who are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice, who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of clients, providing a range of accounting and tax services while building strong client relationships.

The Role – Key Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns.
• Assisting with management accounts and bookkeeping where required.
• Reviewing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Liaising directly with clients, responding to queries and providing accounting support.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to the wider team.

The Ideal Candidate

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.
• Good working knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A proactive approach with good attention to detail.
• Confident dealing with clients and working independently as well as part of a team.
