Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 DOE + Bonus + Hybrid Working

A well-established accountancy practice in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who enjoys building client relationships, managing a portfolio, and providing trusted business advice to owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you'll work closely with Managers and Partners, taking responsibility for a diverse portfolio of clients while supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud accounting solutions.
- Supporting clients with business planning and financial reporting requirements.
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries and advice.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching and support.
About You
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Strong accounts preparation experience.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for delivering excellent client service.
