Contract Forward Deployed Engineer - Immediate Start

The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture and Customer Delivery. You'll partner directly with customers to understand their technical and business challenges, design solutions, build integrations and deliver production-ready implementations.

You'll act as the technical bridge between customers, product and engineering teams, owning projects from discovery through to deployment while helping shape future platform capabilities through customer feedback and insight.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and deliver customer-facing technical solutions across cloud, data and AI environments.
· Build integrations, workflows and automations using APIs and modern engineering practices.
· Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design workshops with customers.
· Support deployments, troubleshooting and optimisation of production systems.
· Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams to drive successful outcomes.
· Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
· Create technical documentation and implementation best practices.
· Identify recurring customer challenges and contribute to product improvements.

About You

You will be an experienced Software, Solutions or Platform Engineer with strong customer-facing skills and a proven ability to deliver technical solutions in complex environments. You'll be equally comfortable writing code, designing solutions and working directly with stakeholders to solve business problems.

You'll enjoy working in fast-paced environments, taking ownership of technical delivery and helping customers realise value from modern cloud, data and AI platforms.

Key Requirements:

· Strong software engineering experience with Python, JavaScript, Typescript or similar technologies.
· Experience building integrations using APIs, REST services and cloud platforms.
· Strong understanding of system architecture, solution design and technical delivery.
· Experience working directly with customers, stakeholders or business users.
· Strong SQL and data integration experience.
· Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP environments.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· Experience with AI, LLMs, RAG or agent-based solutions would be advantageous.
