Personal Assistant

• Working hours: 9am till 5pm (Hybrid)

Manchester City Council are seeking an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant to support Manchester’s Civic and Ceremonial Office. The Civic and Ceremonial Team manage all aspects of protocol and procedure and provide direct support to the Lord Mayor as the first citizen of Manchester. This includes oversight and delivery of major civic and special events of significant reputational importance to Manchester to the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Lord Mayor’s inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and courteous responses.
• Support with the coordination and management of the Lord Mayor’s diary, engagements, and events.
• Work closely with the Civic and Ceremonial Team to ensure protocols and procedures are followed.
• Assist in delivering major civic and special events that hold significant reputational importance for the city.
• Provide efficient administrative support to ensure the Lord Mayor’s daily duties run smoothly.
