Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a primary special needs school in Trafford, starting after October half term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to provide tailored assistance to pupils, helping them to access learning, develop independence and build confidence throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
• Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, social skills and emotional development.
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting the delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to develop their independence.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with special educational needs, or a strong desire to develop a career in this area.
• Be patient, compassionate, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Be committed to helping every child achieve their individual goals.
