Carpenter - Property Services Job Type: Temp - Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties Temp Rate: £24.40 per hour Salary: £41,327 per annum + Excellent Benefits Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 A Carpenter is required to join a reputable housing provider, carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works across occupied residential properties. The role will involve a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring residents receive a high-quality, right-first-time service. The successful candidate will have experience within social housing, domestic maintenance or responsive repairs and be capable of working independently whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards. Daily Responsibilities: Carrying out carpentry repairs and maintenance on occupied residential properties Repairing and replacing doors, frames, skirting, architraves and locks Completing kitchen repairs, cupboard repairs and flooring works Carrying out fencing and gate repairs Undertaking first and second fix carpentry works Diagnosing repair issues and delivering effective solutions Updating work orders and material usage through PDA/mobile technology Managing van stock and ordering materials as required Providing a high level of customer service to residents Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently Requirements: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification Previous experience within social housing, domestic maintenance or responsive repairs Experience carrying out first and second fix carpentry Full UK manual driving licence Experience using PDA/mobile working systems Strong customer service and communication skills Benefits: Company van and fuel card provided for business use 25 days annual leave plus additional benefits Generous pension scheme Health cash plan Life cover and income protection Funded training and development opportunities Permanent opportunity with a leading housing provider If you are interested in hearing more about the vacancy, please apply to the advert or send your CV.
