Job title: Stock Controller/Warehouse Operative

Location: Rainham (RM13)

Salary: £14 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, immediate start, temp to perm role

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join one of our clients based in Rainham area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the organisation and presentation of our inventory. This position involves ensuring that products are stocked efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Receive deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
• Organise stock on shelves and in storage areas, adhering to proper rotation and placement protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to management.
• Assist in the implementation of promotional displays and ensure that products are visually appealing.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness and organisation within the stockroom and sales floor.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with data entry related to inventory management systems.

Skills

• Experience in a warehouse or retail environment is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation skills to facilitate effective communication with suppliers and team members.
• Counter Balance and Reach Forklift licences preferable but not essential
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in data mining techniques for effective inventory analysis.
• Familiarity with retail management principles to optimise stock levels and product placement.
• Understanding of business processes related to inventory control.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies or issues.
