Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are delighted to support a market leading global equipment and machinery manufacturing company with the expansion of its Field Service Engineering Team.

As well as a dedicated field-based Engineering Services team looking after regional patches throughout the UK, they are also looking for a specialist field engineer who can work nationally, carrying out commissioning, machine demonstrations, and training customers on new equipment.

The Specialist Field Engineer is a mobile national role covering the UK and you will need to stay away from home regularly. You will be given a van, specialist tools, phone, laptop, and fuel card.

The Specialist Field Engineer is a customer-facing role, and although specific brand training will be given, a strong technical knowledge of plant equipment (crushing/screening) commissioning, maintenance, service & repair would be an advantage, as well as having field based engineering services experience with a great communication style and commitment to delivering excellent service!

Responsibilities for the Specialist Field Engineer include:

• Attending customer sites to conduct and complete scheduled commissioning of new equipment
• Carrying out machine commissions, demonstrations and operator familiarisation as required
• Testing to ensure accurate fault diagnostics
• Communicating with the office coordination team to ensure effective planning and delivery of the service schedule
• To represent the Company in a professional manner, especially when on a Customer site, building and maintaining positive relationships with the customer base

Skills & Experience required for the Specialist Field Engineer include:

• Good knowledge and experience of the repair and servicing of plant equipment, preferably large mobile plant on customer sites
• NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plant Maintenance/Land Based Technology
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostics and analytical skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings, parts, hydraulics and electrical diagrams
• Full UK driving licence and the ability to work at sites locally as well as staying away occasionally
• Must be keen to develop and learn new skills and gain new knowledge and have a positive attitude
