Are you passionate about food, customer service, and making a positive impact on people's lives? Edinburgh city centre Care Home, part of Edinburgh City Council, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Catering/Kitchen Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This is more than just a catering role. You'll play an important part in ensuring all residents enjoy nutritious, enjoyable meals while helping to create a warm and welcoming dining experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments.
• Supporting the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Setting up and clearing dining areas.
• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Helping to create a positive dining experience for residents, visitors and colleagues.

What We're Looking For

Friendly, reliable and hardworking attitude

Good communication and teamwork skills

Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential

Understanding of food hygiene practices (training can be provided)

A genuine commitment to delivering excellent service and supporting older people
