FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established supplier within the construction and building materials sector with the recruitment of a Sales Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Ely.

Salary

£45,000 basic salary + monthly bonus with OTE of approximately £60,000 + excellent benefits

This is a hands-on sales leadership role with responsibility for driving the day-to-day performance of an established internal sales team, developing people and ensuring monthly and quarterly targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day performance of the internal sales team.
• Drive achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Translate the wider sales strategy into clear activity and measurable results.
• Coach, train and develop team members through regular feedback and support.
• Monitor individual and team performance, identifying underperformance early and implementing actions.
• Work closely with Area Sales Managers and Key Account teams to deliver agreed regional and customer plans.
• Maintain a strong understanding of pipeline, activity levels and performance against target.
• Ensure accurate CRM records and provide regular sales performance reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and overall team effectiveness.
• Build a positive, accountable and high-performance sales culture.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading and developing a successful sales team.
• Background within internal sales, telesales, trade sales or a similar sales environment.
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong coaching, leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
• Confident holding team members accountable and addressing performance issues.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience within building materials, construction products, merchants, joinery, interiors or a related trade sector would be highly advantageous.
• Experience using CRM and sales analytics tools would be beneficial.
