This 18 month Head of Finance contract gives you real ownership of an established finance function, without limiting you to the day-to-day numbers. You’ll lead the team, partner with the executive team and have a voice at Board level, while still having the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

There’s plenty of variety here too. From cash strategy and major commercial decisions to audit, reporting and business partnering, you’ll be trusted to keep finance running brilliantly while influencing decisions at the highest level.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Commercial, you will be responsible for:

• Leading a finance team across financial control and business partnering
• Setting the direction for finance and ensuring both teams work effectively together
• Acting as a finance partner to the executive team and contributing to quarterly Board meetings
• Owning high-level cash strategy, forecasting and month-end sign-off
• Providing finance sign-off on bids and projects
• Leading statutory accounts and external audit, as well as supporting future internal audit activity
• Working with shareholders and senior finance stakeholders on forecasts, cash and reporting
• Playing an active role within the wider directorate’s senior leadership team

What you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar senior finance role, such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director or Senior Finance Manager
• A professional accounting qualification with around 3-5+ years’ post-qualified experience
• Strong financial control experience, including audit and statutory reporting
• Proven experience leading a finance team with the confidence to take full ownership
• The credibility to partner with executive and Board-level stakeholders
• The ability to obtain the required security clearance
