Associate in Commercial Litigation - Up to £60,000 - Bristol

An established legal services organisation is looking to appoint an Associate to join its Commercial Litigation team in Bristol; they intend to offer an experienced litigator the chance to manage a varied caseload of disputes within a substantial legal operation, combining technical litigation expertise with commercial decision-making and a strong focus on client outcomes. The organisation operates a legal expenses insurance business alongside its own legal practice, providing a consistent flow of litigated matters and a distinctive alternative to the traditional private practice model. Its wider purpose is centred on improving access to justice, helping individuals and businesses pursue or defend legal claims.

This will suit a talented litigator accustomed to managing an autonomous caseload of consumer and / or commercial contract disputes, handling matters from initial assessment and pre-action strategy through to court proceedings, trial, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution; early evaluation of prospects, proportionate costs management and effective case progression will be central to the role.

What the Firm Offers:
  • Salary range of £50,000 - £60,000, subject to experience and billings
  • Varied caseload of consumer and commercial contract disputes, including litigation, trial preparation, mediation and ADR
  • Opportunities for progression, continued professional development and involvement in wider technical and supervisory work
  • Comprehensive reward and benefits package
  • Collaborative, customer-focused environment with an emphasis on professional development, accessible legal services and high-quality outcomes
This is an opportunity for an experienced litigator seeking substantive responsibility within a well-established legal operation, with the scope to develop their expertise and contribute to the wider performance of the team.
