Year 2 Teaching Assistant (Tuesday Only)

Working Pattern: Every Tuesday (1 day per week)

Reed Education is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenwich for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a consistent weekly basis every Tuesday.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development and is confident working within a classroom environment where pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role

As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils in their learning both individually and in small groups
• Deliver phonics and guided reading sessions
• Work closely alongside the class teacher to support pupil progress
• Assist in creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Support children with a range of SEND needs
• Help ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and reach their full potential

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised phonics programme
• Experience leading phonics and reading intervention groups
• Confidence supporting pupils with SEND
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children
