Your new role

As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial operations.Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing the finance team
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring statutory compliance
• Managing CIS administration and HMRC submissions
• Overseeing bank reconciliations and cash management activities
• Managing supplier rebate calculations and claims
• Supporting financial controls, reporting, and process improvements
• Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting wider business administration activities and operational projects
• Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a finance supervisory or management position and possess strong technical accounting knowledge.You will demonstrate:

• Experience managing or supervising a finance team
• Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles
• Experience preparing VAT returns and bank reconciliations
• Knowledge of CIS administration would be highly advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a desire to drive improvements
