We are currently recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a leading fit out and joinery contractor specialising in high-quality, bespoke projects across London.

The company has an established reputation for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding finishes across a diverse portfolio, including super-prime residential properties, luxury hospitality venues, premium retail spaces, museums and commercial fit out projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term relationships and developing a strong pipeline of work across the contractor's target markets.

You will ideally come from a similar fit out, joinery or high-end interiors background. However, candidates from a broader construction background will also be considered, particularly those with established relationships across contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects, designers and wider construction supply chains.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across super-prime residential, luxury hospitality, premium retail, museums and commercial fitout sectors.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with main contractors, specialist subcontractors, developers, architects, interior designers, consultants and key supply chain partners.
• Leveraging an existing industry network to generate leads, secure introductions and develop new client accounts.
• Proactively sourcing upcoming projects and identifying opportunities at early design, tender and procurement stages.
• Developing a robust pipeline of opportunities and converting leads into secured contracts.
• Attending networking events, industry functions and client meetings to raise the company's profile and strengthen market presence.
• Working closely with the estimating, commercial and delivery teams to identify suitable opportunities and support the tendering process.
• Preparing business development strategies, maintaining CRM records and reporting on pipeline activity and sales performance.
• Representing the business professionally, promoting its capabilities, craftsmanship and track record of delivering high-quality projects.

We are looking for a confident, commercially minded Business Development Manager who understands the construction industry and knows how to build relationships that translate into genuine business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in business development, sales or client relationship management within construction, fitout, joinery or interiors.
• Ideally, experience working within super-prime residential, luxury hospitality, premium retail or high-end commercial fitout.
• An established network of contacts across main contractors, subcontractors, developers, consultants, architects or specialist supply chains.
• A strong understanding of the construction procurement process and how projects are identified, tendered and secured.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, generating leads and developing new client relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to recognise opportunities that align with the company's capabilities.
• The confidence to engage with clients and senior industry stakeholders at all levels.
• A self-motivated, organised and driven approach, with the ability to work independently and contribute to the wider growth strategy.

Candidates with a strong construction background and excellent industry connections will be considered, even if they have not held a dedicated Business Development Manager position previously.
