We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our award-winning service charge teamin Milton Keynes – our TC SEM offices were recently recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 and are the UK’s largest residential service charge specialist practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Senior Accountant looking to take the next step into management or an existing Assistant Manager seeking broader responsibility and a clear progression path to Manager level.

Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality client service, overseeing the preparation and review of service charge accounts and factual findings assignments, and helping to develop and coach junior members of the team. You'll gain increasing exposure to people management, client relationship management and operational responsibilities as you progress towards Manager level.

Key responsibilities will include:

Technical Delivery & Client Service

• Review service charge accounts and factual findings assignments, ensuring work is completed accurately and to the highest technical standards.
• Support Managers in the delivery of client portfolios, helping to ensure deadlines and service standards are consistently achieved.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and property managers, responding to queries and building strong professional relationships.
• Assist with the planning and allocation of work across the team to ensure efficient delivery.
• Support the resolution of technical and operational issues, escalating where appropriate.
• Contribute to maintaining excellent levels of client satisfaction and service delivery

Team development & Leadership:

• Coach and develop Senior and Executive Accountants through on-the-job support
• Support Managers with performance management, onboarding and employee development activities.
• Identify training needs and drive development plans, escalating where required
• Build your personal brand to promote the team, with an active LinkedIn presence and content creation
• Champion continuous improvement, driving efficiency and service enhancements across the team
• Support adoption and development of our bespoke software ForSite across teams and clients
• Stay up to date with sector developments and share knowledge across the team

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• AAT qualified/part qualified ACCA/ACA or QBE
• Strong accounting background with some experience reviewing work
• Practice experience desirable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident working independently and collaboratively
• Highly organised with a methodical approach to workload management
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Service charge accounting knowledge (desirable)
• Proactive, with a strong desire to learn and develop
